About this deal

When I said "press the bar on the side", in your case this refers to the blue tab close to the cistern lid, as Ayjay says, easily removable. This will be much easier if you have disconnected the push button end of the cable too so you have plenty of slack. the little leaver will probably be stuck in the down position, if so poke in to lift it back up, this will let the valve reset and the systen should fill up.

Thank you for your reply, that's a lot of company name changes in three years, the one I have is marked up 2008 when it was still Macdee! Please note: Purchasing the replacement valve will require the removal of the complete valve assembly.

our operatives are all experienced within the industry and are more than happy to help with any questions.

Maybe this bit was overkill but I also disconnected the cable on both ends and cleaned the visible parts - the was some gunk and, after taking the spray diffuser off the WD40 can I forced a whole load of WD40 down inside the cable sheath - again pulling the cable a couple of dozen times to move the WD40 around. I usually use flexi hose with an iso valve and put the end of the hose with the washer onto the cistern fitting. It's 2014 and the problem still occurs and WD 40 still works, but just make sure you have a good look at the layout of the little plastic box before you take it apart! A dual flush, cable operated Macdee Dump valve that can fit in existing Macdee brackets as well as fit cisterns with a 1. I would like to have got down into the bottom assembly and taken it all apart but I couldn't work out how to do it but that would be a plan B for anyone who still can't get the thing to work with WD40.Is it possible that there is a cast recess in the bowl into which a nut sits, so that the cistern can be attached/detached purely from above? The reason it is not refilling is that, possibly, the inlet valve is one of the new generation of eco-friendly valves that is designed not to open until the water drops to a certain level. There is one red wheel on a pipe connected to the bottom of the tank, and another (red also) on one at around shoulder height.

Toilet flush valves are replacement parts for the toilet flush system, inside a toilet cistern that controls tank filling and toilet flushing. When you say the big white bit is that the top of the tube closest to me that the blue tube goes in to? After unscrewing the two philips screws on the grey box and opening it up the insides came apart which make me wonder if the spring had unhooked itself from the white piece.

PLEASE NOTE CERTAIN PARTS OF SCOTLAND, IRELAND and the ISLE of MAN will not be next day if chosen and will take an extra day. For those who are wondering if this will replace the now out of production AFV40100 or AFV40200, the answer is YES it will! regarding fitting I assume I need to turn off the water - do I have to turn off the stopcock under the sink and then drain the attic tank (e. Unfortunately some moron has completely blocked in the back of the toilet (as it looks good, until something goes wrong.
