About this deal

Film: When Will My Life Begin • Mother Knows Best • I've Got a Dream • I See the Light • Healing Incantation • Something That I Want This is a complex journey into what could happen in our own future. The question is ... just because we can.. does it mean we should?. For every leap into the unknown, there are consequences ... and Claire, Robert and Jill are going to discover just how dangerous those consequences can be. The first part of the book discusses Pamula’s challenges related to getting appropriate and personal infant feeding support. Though I thankfully didn’t have the scary outcomes she did, much of what she said resonated with me. I could recall quite clearly my eldest daughter screaming when she came near my breasts and how I took it as a personal insult. I was made to feel a failure and in truth, as Pamula advocates in this book, mother knows best and I followed the signs and signals to ensure my baby was satisfied and having that output that medical professionals maintain is so important. Even now, 3 and half years later, I almost wrote a sentence justifying my choice not to breastfeed. Almost. But Pamula’s book has taught me that I don’t need to justify myself because – mother instinct is a thing and I don’t have to justify myself because I did what was best for myself and my daughter at that time.

And I’m announcing the winner of detesting character who deserves to be slapped 24/7 contest: OUR SOCIOPATH SCIENTIST A.K.A MADAM FRAKENSTEIN JILLIAN! Most unlikable, vomit-able on her face kind of despicable character. A mother’s worst nightmare, a chance at redemption, and a deadly secret that haunts a family across the generations. Then: Claire and her husband, Ethan, are still grieving the loss of Colton, their 8-year old son who died due to a hereditary mitochondrial condition. Now the couple wants to expand their family and open their hearts to another child, but Claire is worried about passing her genes onto yet another child, only to meet the same fate as Colton. It was June 1993. Pamula's son was born the same year as mine. Just a few days into what should have been the happiest of times, there was trauma and uncertainty. She knew things weren't right, she saw health professionals who all tried to reassure her. They said all was fine. It wasn't. Regardless, this was a fantastically fun read that I devoured in just a couple of days. It had magic, adventure, deceit, monsters, and betrayal. I was completely drawn in and hooked on the story. I couldn't wait to find out what happened next and had a hard time putting it down. With all its spookiness and dark magic, it makes a perfect Halloween binge-read! Because of that, the pacing felt off. We only got some bits and pieces of the Tangled story, which was hands down my favorite part of the book. The author did a fabulous job of including the scenes from the movie into the storyline. I felt like I was watching a movie commentary, and it was absolutely hilarious. She also included scenes of the movie almost verbatim, and I enjoyed that tremendously.

This is quite possibly the worst series I have ever read. It is a classic case of the cardinal rule of writing being broken - show, don't tell. This is apparent by the appearance of Original Characters being introduced and then gaining more and more book space as the series goes. This can work well, as is the case with the Kingdom Hearts video game series despite bizzare storytelling. In this case, however, the author claims authorship for all Disney villain origins and does it in the most irritating way possible, with the Original Characters speaking at great length, in disjointed and unintelligible dialogue mind you, about the respective movies in question through their point of view. It is extremely lazy writing for the writer to allow the characters to "speak for themselves" in that the dialogue goes in odd tangents, but the author does not take charge of the story by planning nor guiding it. The suspense of Claire and her new husband’s life is good. Claire essentially lives in hiding because her face was plastered everywhere when the story came out. When Abby turns 11, she starts to get curious about her ancestry, and, as part of a class project, she and Claire agree to test their DNA. What Claire has been keeping secret leaks out to the very worst person possible. As is usually the case, I went into the story "blind" without re-reading the blurb so to say that "that is not what I was expecting" is an understatement! In a good way!I was so excited to read this book, especially because it focuses on the Tangled adaptation of Rapunzel! Guys. I was fa-reaking out when I dove into Mother Knows Best. Now after reading it? Well, you all shouldn't be surprised if I end up disappearing for the rest of the day. Why? Wellllllllllll, it means I'm sitting on my couch, eating popcorn, and watching some Disney movies. Video Games: Tangled (video game) • Disney Infinity series • Kingdom Hearts III • Disney Crossy Road • Disney Enchanted Tales • Disney Emoji Blitz • Disney Heroes: Battle Mode Gothel's life changes dramatically as the years pass, and each change twists Gothel into the frightening woman who steals a baby princess and keeps her captive in a tower. As soon as she uttered the command, the wand in Stromboli's hand began to glow. The boy laughed and laughed, thinking gold was about to rain from the ceiling and that his wish would soon come true.

Let’s talk about our three POVS: Good mother Claire, evil scientist madam Frankenstein Jillian (Don’t forget, this name firstly belonged to the doctor not to the patched man they’ve created) and our miracle child Abby. And yet this is only half the story. So what of the old witch, Mother Gothel? Where does she come from? And how does she come across the magical golden flower? Here is one account that recounts a version of the story that has remained untold for centuries . . . until now. It is a tale of mothers and daughters, of youth and dark magic. It is a tale of the old witch. This book put me in a confused state, saliva dripping down my mouth agape, a horrified expression on my face as if I recently watched Cardi B’s running for vice presidency speech with the support of Bernie’s team ( so you can imagine, it was ten times more terrifying than watching Jordan Peele’s horror movies)Books: The Art of Tangled • Comic Books • Rapunzel and the Lost Lagoon • Rapunzel and the Vanishing Village • Royal Weddings I was so dazed, confused and several times I said” all right all right all right” and murmured my fav college teacher Matthew McConaughey’s science fictional, weird Oscar speech about updated new version of himself word by word. ( Brain is an amazing thing, I don’t remember what I cook yesterday –because I didn’t, I have a husband for this- but I memorized those eerie words Now: Claire, her husband and their 11-year old daughter, Abby, are making their yearly visit to Colton’s favorite place, in honor of the 21st birthday he’ll never have. But Claire is startled when she sees a familiar face that she hoped she’d never see again for the rest of her life. And seeing her sends Claire spiraling into a mental state that concerns her husband and daughter.
