There, she learns that Teddy is in prison and his grandson Tommy has taken over the house for his own criminal purposes.A huge back story obviously, it took me a while to get up to speed but this is very readable as a stand alone.

There was the possibility in the last book, but nothing concrete happened however something may come of it in the coming book (s? Highly recommended for fans of suspenseful mysteries – a superb continuation of an already outstanding series.This book can be easily read as a standalone as the author easily recaps Atlee's backstory and besides much of the story involves a new investigation that Atlee is sidetracked into. Stunningly, Pine and Puller's joint investigation uncovers a connection between Vincenzo's family and a breathtaking scheme that strikes at the very heart of global democracy. Arriving to speak with one Ito Vincenzo, brother to a high-ranking Mafia boss, Pine wonders if her sister’s kidnapping might have something to do with an act of revenge. The title alone speaks to the promise of answers that have eluded Atlee in the first two installments .
