Although at times the confines of the one setting and limited characters meant that the story was a little slow at times, it was elevated by the fact that, for once, it was a very well edited and polished novel which is rare on here as most of the books I've read have at least one mistake.

But I do just have to reiterate what a freakin’ DELIGHT it was to read a thriller that fully leans into its over-the-top qualities without ever losing sight of the plot. Adams does for highway rest stops what Stephen King did for shuttered resort hotels, psychotic nurses and clowns under bridges.
