About this deal

In one episode of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, Scooby, Velma, and Shaggy are being chased by an evil mummy in a museum. Scooby hides in a large jar, while Shaggy and Velma hop onto a platform and pretend to be a display of Marc Antony (wearing a centurion helmet and carrying a sword) and Cleopatra (with a purple cloak and feather in the hair). This is definitely one f**ked up couple . . . Filled with moments that will make your heart pound' 5* READER REVIEW

Oddo, Marco Vito (December 2, 2022). " 'Nobody 2': Bob Odenkirk Action Sequel Is Aiming to Film Next Year [Exclusive]". Collider . Retrieved December 8, 2022. A pretty common prank in Candid Camera-style shows. Most of the time the "statue" simply jumps at the victim, sometimes yelling. Ellie is a young student. Steven is a college professor. They've been in a relationship for six months and this weekend will be a celebration of their time together. A chance to discover each other where no one else can see. We already know that the weekend is not going to end well, we just don't know who the blood will belong to, or why. Played for horror in Frank Belknap Long's Cthulhu Mythos story "The Horror from the Hills". A museum displays what they think is a statue of the ancient vampiric god Chaugnar Faugn. It turns out they have the real thing, and he's just very, very good at holding still.a b c "Remarks by the President on Review of Signals Intelligence". whitehouse.gov. 17 January 2014. This is not just a mystery about two people who are pretending, this is a savage, yet compelling look at historic sexual predatory and the effects that has on the victims. Steven is a damaged man, with an intense but totally dysfunctional family history and his behaviour over the years has been damaging. Here is a man who creates a facade of respectability whilst living a life that degrades others.

Star Wars Rebels: In "Twilight of the Apprentice", Imperial Inquisitor the Eighth Brother hides among the petrified corpses around the Sith Temple on Malachor to ambush the Jedi trio. The marketing blurb for this book asks us to meet '2022's most toxic couple', and this pair surely are two very messed up individuals. I can assure you that you will hate Steven, with his pretentious airs and his patronising way of treating Ellie. He's a man who is used to having things his own way, a taker. Whilst he considers himself to be generous, he gives nothing without expecting a lot in return. Ellie is, at first glance, a shy and demure young woman who is obviously in thrall to Steven. She's young and easily manipulated; agreeing to wear the clothes that he buys for her, smiling and complying with all that he does. Odenkirk is a surprisingly physically adept anchor and while sure, the trope of a man only really being a man when he embraces his violent side is … not great, he tries his best to work around the regressive nature of the genre, turning Hutch into a man somewhat earnestly trying to figure out the right balance of alpha and beta. There’s little to do for Connie Nielsen as his confused wife but Christopher Lloyd gets to have some fun as his gun-toting father and along with RZA as his equally armed brother, there’s an intriguing little family dynamic that will probably be explored in the inevitable sequel (Nobodies, perhaps?). Attempting to pass as a doll or a department store mannequin is a variant on this trope, particularly in big front-window displays. Would I recommend this book? I would, yes. Nobody But Us is an exceptional debut and I’m excited to see what this author publishes next. Very unsettling, hugely character driven – just how I like my thrillers – and near impossible to be parted from for any length of time. The pace of the novel draws the reader into the story and puts you on edge immediately. You never really know what direction the author is going to take next and as an avid reader of thrillers, that is a wonderful thing! I loved the isolated setting (also a fan of thrillers where help is nowhere near) and the perfectly placed twists and turns. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed Nobody But Us. I found it refreshing, sophisticated and utterly captivating. Highly recommended.
