About this deal

I gotta admit I was not really enjoying it. This has not happened to me for any of the Addicted books before, so that’s unsettling. I just felt so annoyed for whatever reason. I know it’s in Moffy’s character to push himself for his loved ones, but dang, that boy needs to stop stressing so much because it stresses me out. There are also some choices made in this book where I’m like, really??? I mean I know they’re characters who are learning and growing. I admit it, I was just impatient, and even though I felt bad for the characters, there were not enough emotional, soul-consuming scenes, or enough sweet, cute moments (which every other Addicted book had.) Another great book by the twins about love, family, and of course drama. By now I feel fully immersed in the lives of the Hales, Cobalts, and Meadows--enough so that they could be real people that I’m old friends with. That is by far my favorite thing about all of these books. My family has always been super important to me so I have ALWAYS loved reading books/ series that feature characters that find family (whether they be blood or not) to be important. Maximoff in particular is a prime example of this. He would literally die to protect any one of his siblings, cousins, OR friends. Ugh it’s almost hard to read about at times because not only does he have to deal with his own stress and shit but he basically is an empath and feels everyone else’s pain and emotions whether he likes to or not. He is the definition of a precious (but also sexy AF) cinnamon roll that must be protected at all costs. He is too good for this world, really. I would love to have him in my family.

Summers,” I say with the shake of my head. “You could tell me to rot in hell, and I’d still overwhelming, unconditionally be there for you and love you—there is nothing you can do to push me down. Alright?”re-read: Oh man they are so precious wow. The proposal scene is legit one of my favorite scenes in this book and series. I love it so much. On another note, the car accident is one of the most emotional yet powerful too. Gosh their love is just so beautiful. It hits me so hard in the feels. These two will forever be one of my favorite couples. I swear. I am Lily, Lily is me. #Marrow for life! So I’m conflicted. That ending is amazing, but I did have a hard time enjoying in the beginning and middle. 3 stars Chapter 23-24: Maximoff is organizing a Hallow Friends Eve party for his cousin Sullivan Meadows so she can get drunk for the first time. He and Farrow have sex, but nearly get caught by Quinn. Farrow and Jane talk about trying to become friends for Maximoff's sake. Later, they're watching a horror movie and playing a drinking game. Kinney texts Maximoff upset that she wasn't invited. Suddenly, the front window of the townhouse is smashed. Kinney. I LOVE KINNEY. She is so badass and confident (but also vulnerable). Love her. She’s hilarious. Chapter 26: About a week later, Maximoff and Farrow are swimming at Hale Co.'s private pool. Luna calls Maximoff distraught over her exam results as she failed three of her classes. She tells them about a girl named Jeffra who'd been bullying her at school and saying Luna liked to eat shit for fun.

Chapter 9: After the massage, Luna calls Maximoff but won't talk. She texts him saying she's coming over to the townhouse. Farrow organizes with Luna's bodyguard ( J.P.) for Farrow to escort her inside the townhouse from the street. Luna's escorted inside and Farrow makes some saline solution for her tongue infection. She'd pierced her tongue with a sewing needle. Farrow asks Maximoff about his charity event and Maximoff tells him that there'll be a raffle this year. Aside from the main couple, this book was full of fantastic scenes between family members, their dynamic and deep love for each other. Having such a huge family is one of the things I adore about this epic series. At the end of each book, the reader feels like a being part of this amazing and highly entertaining family. And it's hard to say goodbye. It's no secret that I adore this cast, and can't wait to read the next book. These books honestly get better and better with each installment. They are hard to put down, addicting, and utterly fascinating.

But Maximoff is afraid — he’s afraid of the consequences that could destroy his boyfriend and his family. the first “spice” scene - I have no words. Idk what I was on when I read this the first time bc . . 💀💀💀 why did I not even mention how weird it was?!??? I mean okay yeah it’s VERY on brand with the couple and it was so sweet how he let her express herself but they were too “out of this world” Iykyk lol.

The last quarter: Ohmygosh THAT is what I wanted. I love the ending so much. It has emotional scenes, as well as sweet, heart-warming scenes. I’m glad to see the characters finally learn from their mistakes and make peace with the state of their life and actually appreciate what they have. They have gone through so much shit throughout this whole book, and I am relieved that they can find happiness among all of the chaos. Their priorities and values are in the right place. Being together also makes them very strong though, and they lean on each other when they need to, which made me love them even more....Those moments when one of them felt broken, and needed the other... Life is made up of exultant seconds and full breaths, and I’m breathing so fully with him. I know this. The Donnelley farrow and Oscar trio still have me in a chokehold bc I loved every scene with them together this time around too. This book is still the best one so far. I like how much closer Marrow is, how much more Moffy lets himself rely on Farrow. I want a Marrow love for myself.I've been reading this series since 2014, that's 8 years, and the amazing stories that wowed me then don't deliver anymore. Especially since the big conflicts are mostly the same, on repeat. The series ran out of its freshness/uniqueness factor long ago. ALPHAS LIKE US was more than I could have ever hoped for. The bond that Maximoff and Farrow have is one of a kind and I adored and devoured everything about them from beginning to end.

TiffanyW: Y’all I can’t with Sullivan’s boyfriends. They just sandwiched her in PUBLIC to avoid cameras lmao I think this is my favorite book in this series. We finally get to see Moffy and Farrow in a “regular” relationship without having to hide it in anyway. They can be themselves and go on dates, even if they aren’t always successful due to the ahole paparazzi. The reason I think I like this book the best is because the two come to terms (more on Moffy’s end I guess) with the fact that they are in fact it for each other. Before Farrow, Moffy never considered that he might actually find someone that he could trust and then subsequently love enough to be with forever, marry, have kids, the whole deal. And being a person like Moffy who is just BRIMMING with pure love, I can see how that could have been so horrible. Loren and Lily may not be perfect as individuals or even as parents but you can bet that their love for each other and their kids was something that Moffy grew up seeing and wanting for himself. I just am SO FREAKING HAPPY that they will get their happy ending *sighhh*.

ngl all this tv show, alien, and lizard hissing/dancing was way too much. i know kbr usually over exaggerate characters quirks but this was too much. donnelly basically didn't have a personality bc he was just copying everything luna was doing. like i really do get now why luna was bullied in school, i can't defend her when kbr writes her in such embarrassing conditions. I had no idea that with every book these two give me, I'd fall a little more in love with this gang but it's true, that's exactly what happens every time a new book comes out. It was no different with this one. I loved Alphas Like Us so damn much, so much happened, so much always happen. Farrow was really tested in this one, actually they both were, they went through so much and I loved watching them overcome everything together, always side by side. These two have completely stolen my heart forever. I had fallen in love with Lil&Lo and Raisy but holy shit man, Marrow is for sure my favorite! I love these two so so much! There are no words. I am so happy that this isn't the end for them, I mean I know that they'll always be there in the other's books but knowing there will be another Marrow book makes my heart more than happy. but yk what? even tho this book is my biggest disappointment of the year, lunnelly’s content toward the end still has my heart. the fact that their first sex was in galaxy style, because luna told donnelly she fantasied about it that way☹️💗.
